When you’ve run out of words

You’re not alone. Some­thing deep­er is at work.

Some days the prob­lem isn’t even that you don’t believe… you’re just too tired to find the words. Or the words you do find feel hol­low, like you’re read­ing lines from some­one else’s script. You say “I trust You” and wait to feel it. You don’t.

You know what? That is still prayer. The woman in Luke 15 did­n’t stop search­ing just because she had­n’t found the coin yet. The psalms are full of peo­ple mid-search, mid-doubt, mid-dark who still talk to God, if only to say where are You?

That reach­ing, even if it feels like fum­bling, is not the absence of faith. It may be faith at its most hon­est. And hon­est is exact­ly where He meets peo­ple.
